Annette Marteeny Kitowski
Annette is SATA’s 2021 Board President. She has been playing tennis off and on most of her life. Most recently she retired in 2014 and has been a member at Spare Time’s Rio Del Oro Sports Club playing on a more consistent basis and has participated in SATA league play since 2015.
Prior to retiring, Annette spent 28 years working in marketing, sales and public relations in the hospitality and association industries. Throughout her career she volunteered, and held offices, for nonprofit groups such as San Diego Women in Travel, Meeting Planners International (MPI) and California Society for Association Executives (CalSAE). Since retiring she has also volunteered at the California Museum and Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
Joe is SATA’s 2021 Board Vice President. He is a long time tennis enthusiast, having played since high school and in various tournaments and leagues, including those organized by SATA. He is a retired state attorney and is active with different nonprofit organizations. Joe currently plays out of McKinley Park and hopes to promote SATA’s high school tennis program.
Colleen is SATA’s 2021 Board Treasurer. She has been playing tennis for about eight years and is a member at Spare Time’s Johnson Ranch Sports Club where she has captained many different teams over the years. She currently owns a retained executive search firm – Insight Executive Search Partners, Inc.
Throughout her career she volunteered, and held offices, for professional and educational nonprofit groups such Illinois State Council of SHRM, Cavitt Jr. High PTC and the Emerald Brigade Support Organization. She is looking forward to helping promote SATA’s High School tennis program.
Judy St. Amour
Judy is SATA’s 2021 Recording secretary. Judy has been playing tennis for 30 years and has captained many teams. Currently, she is captain of a Gold River senior team which is playing in the Palm Desert Senior Open. She is a retired paralegal with a specialization in probate and estate planning.
Diane Rodes recently joined SATA’s Board in 2022 and assumed the role of Secretary. She has been playing tennis for the past ten years and is a member of Broadstone’s Spare Time Club. Most recently, Diane retired from her career as a Senior Human Resources Director with a healthcare company. As a new Board member, Diane is excited about the opportunity to meet new players and become more involved with the SATA tennis community.
He is the owner of OnSumaye Corp., a web development company. Peeyush and his staff volunteer their time to maintain SATA’s website and provide technical consulting and support to the SATA organization.
Sheryl Yamashita is SATA’s 2021 Interclub chairperson and oversees Interclub coordination. Sheryl has served on the SATA Board since October 2017 and has captained over 30 teams since she started playing tennis in 2011. Sheryl’s background includes over 30 years in the online payments world, creating relationships between people and companies.
Greta is a new board member as of 2021 and serves as the Communications Chair. She’s played tennis for over 30 years and currently plays for both Arden Hills and Rio Del Oro interclub teams. She’s a mother of two beginning tennis players and works as an independent contractor in government audits and program evaluation.
Dexter Fong, USPTA Master Pro Certified
Jr. Grand Prix Coordinator
Dexter has been teaching tennis for over 44 years and has personally coached hundreds of students who have achieved local SATA to USTA sectional and national rankings. He founded the USTA Sacramento Summer Junior Team tennis in the 1980s and was its first Summer Junior Team League Coordinator. Dexter is now our Jr Grand Prix Coordinator.
Devin is a SATA board member, lifelong tennis player, and professional tennis coach. Devin has nearly a decade of coaching experience and has coached high school teams, parks programs, college players, and aspiring tour professionals. Devin studied Social Science, Communications, and Tennis Coaching at American River College.
Devin’s extensive involvement with the recreational tennis community is what drove him to join SATA to help make a difference in Sacramento’s high school and recreational tennis circuits.
SATA’s Interclub League Coordinators
Cheryl Osborn has been a SATA Interclub Coordinator since 2012 and an active tennis player and team captain for many years. Cheryl greatly enjoys meeting and working with SATA’s many avid tennis players on an ongoing basis.
Chris Modin has been of our Interclub coordinators since 2004 and she is also the Top Dog coordinator. Chris has been playing tennis since 1979.
Cecelia has been a SATA Interclub coordinator for over 10 years. She has also been on the SATA Board in the past and present for over 5 years. Cecelia brings a wealth of knowledge to her position as she is an Interclub Coordinator and also serves as the bookkeeper for Interclub.
